Making Bread to Raise Dough

Well that was fun! The Dragon Divas spent the weekend as landlubbers, “baking bread to raise dough” at the Great Harvest Bakery in St. Paul.  Owner Bonnie and her staff were charming, patient and did I say, charming and patient? Really, words can not describe the kindness Great Harvest did for our team.

We baked and sold over 750 loaves of bread this weekend to raise money to support our team and promote its mission to educate our community about breast cancer and the importance of living life to its fullest after treatment. Every Diva that was available worked on this endeavor from creating flyers and posters to learning how to make corned beef roll ups and run cash registers. The “dough” was flying.

Thank you to our friends, family, coach and stern who helped make this a huge success by every measure of the word. And to Bonnie and her charismatic crew at the Great Harvest, “Get your sea legs ready; we’re taking you out on the Dragon Boat.”
